My 21’ Famous Craft Flats Boat
Captain Chris has purchased a new 21’ Famous Craft Flats Boat that is more than capable of shallow water stealth as well as those runs across the bay to nearshore reefs and the jetties. With an extremely large and flat deck, there is plenty of fishing area for safe, comfortable movement around the boat. With well thought out and ample storage, all necessary gear can be kept safe and sound. Captain Chris’s Famous Craft boat is equipped with lowrance GPS/Sonar, VHF radio, and a wireless Minnkota trolling motor with quick-release mounts for those trips that require and open casting deck. Clean and ample casting platforms are a principle feature of the 2100xl. Length is 21 feet and beam is 8 feet, 6 inches with 14-inch gunnels. Drawing 10 inches with a 225 mercury and fuel capacity of 63 gallons, this boat gets it done in skinny water as well as nearshore bays and jetties. The 2100xl is set up for live bait fishing with a 35 gallon rear livewell, 25 gallon forward livewell, and 40 gallon release well located under a 3 person cushion seat. Additional cushioned seating forward of the center console allows room for a third angler. Performance features consist of Lenco trimtabs, hydraulic jackplate, and stainless 4-blade mercury racing prop. Gunnel hatches allow for lockable 12-foot rod storage port and starboard, with additional rod holders on both sides of center console and poling platform.
Captain Chris’s Famous Craft flats boat with a Mercury’s 225 optimax, an excellent combination.
